What is Tartan?The Tartan reflects the creativity of HP students through its production of an annual Literary and Arts Magazine each Spring. For Students, By Students The Tartan is comprised of a Board of Student Members, each selected through an audition process in the fall of each school year. The magazine only accepts original works done by current Highland Park High School students. |

History We began in the past and may end in the future. The Tartan was first published in mimeographed form in 1952 appearing every six weeks, and then it was discontinued until 1965. Only since 1968 has it been published once a year for the enjoyment of the student body and Highland Park community. |
